FAQ

Questions agents ask about joining the team

Straight answers about confidentiality, licensing, what we'll cover on a first call, and what happens next.

Do I need real estate experience to join?

No. We talk with newly licensed brokers, people still in prelicensing courses, and experienced agents. What matters most is how you work with people and your willingness to learn.

Is my inquiry confidential?

Yes. Forms on this site go only to Loomis. We won't contact your current brokerage or share that you reached out.

What is the compensation structure?

It depends on your experience and how you work, so we don't publish a one-size-fits-all structure. How compensation and splits would work for your situation is one of the first things we cover on our first call.

Does the team provide leads?

The team works inbound buyer inquiries from our consumer websites, where people who've read our guides request a buyer consult or a custom home search. We don't promise a specific number of leads. How inquiries are shared and what's expected depend on experience, so we walk through it on the first call.

Can I work part-time?

It depends on your experience, goals, and availability, so we cover part-time vs. full-time fit on the first call. Buyer clients need responsive help, and we'll talk honestly about what would work.

Would I need to move my license to McConnell Group?

Yes. In Washington, a broker is licensed to one firm at a time, so joining the team means affiliating your license with McConnell Group. The transfer goes through the Department of Licensing's process.

Can I keep working with my own clients?

Your existing relationships matter. How your own clients and referrals would fit in depends on your situation, so we cover it on the first call.

I'm licensed in another state. Can I join?

Possibly. Washington has a specific process for people licensed elsewhere, and some education requirements may be waived. Check with the Washington State Department of Licensing first, then let's talk.

Do you only work with buyers?

The team is focused on buyer representation. Whether other work fits your goals depends on your experience, and it's something we'll discuss on the first call.

What will we talk about on the first call?

Your experience and goals; how compensation and splits work for your situation; how leads are shared and what's expected; training, mentorship, and support; tools and systems; part-time vs. full-time fit; your own clients and referrals; the brokerage relationship and independent-contractor status; and next steps and timeline. See the full checklist on the Why Join page.

What happens after I submit the form?

Loomis reaches out personally to set up a no-pressure first call by phone, video, or in person. There's no obligation on either side.
