Who we're looking for
We care about how you work with people more than your résumé. Here's what tends to make someone a great fit on a buyer's-agent team.
You like explaining things
Buyers, especially first-time buyers, have lots of questions. You enjoy making the complicated parts clear and never make anyone feel rushed.
You're responsive
You follow up promptly, keep clients updated, and treat their time and their deadlines with care.
You're coachable
You want feedback, you practice, and you get better deal by deal, whatever your experience level.
You do it right
Honest with clients, careful with contracts, and committed to fair housing and Washington's licensing and advertising rules.
You're a team player
You share what you learn, ask for help when you need it, and show up for your teammates.
You own your goals
You know what you want from your career, and you're willing to put in consistent effort to get there.
Requirements
- An active Washington real estate broker or managing broker license, or a plan to earn one (see the path for new agents)
- Ability to affiliate your license with McConnell Group
- Reliable transportation for showings in the areas you'll serve
- Comfort with email, text, video calls, and online transaction tools
Availability, part-time vs. full-time fit, and the areas you'd serve depend on your situation, so we talk them through on a first call.
Helpful, but not required
- Experience in customer service, sales, teaching, lending, or another people-focused field
- Knowledge of Seattle-area neighborhoods
- Fluency in more than one language, which can help you serve more buyers
- Interest in writing or contributing ideas for our buyer guides
We welcome applicants of every background and experience level. If you're unsure whether you fit, reach out anyway.
